Thanksgiving in Plymouth

Mayflower Adventures

On Thanksgiving Day, we began our journey into the past by boarding the Mayflower in Plymouth, MA. Here our group consisted of John, Susan, Brian, the Garrisons (Anthony, Becca, Tom, Jonas, Mercer, and Jude), Pappap and me.

Here we learned that 102 people braved the waters in a crowded ship. We were surprised at see how small the boat was, and it was hard to imagine all those people trying to sleep, to eat, and to do whatever for 65 days. Once we were done with the boat, everyone disembarked and headed to Plymouth Rock.

FYI-we learned that this rock was not mentioned by the pilgrims themselves; however, it was recorded by one of their grandchild that many of the original pilgrims had stepped on this boulder.

More to come...

Happy Birthday Pappap!

We wanted something that would allow you and grandma, as well as all of your daughters, to record and document special and interesting times from our daily lives. We hope that everyone will contribute often to this blog, with pictures, stories, inspirations, and fun tidbits. We hope it will be a way to record our histories, and keep us abreast of the happenings in each of our lives. And we hope this will be a reminder that we are a family unit that love and support each other, and that there be 'no empty chairs.'

Brooke's Wedding

It was a fabulous day! Here are a few pictures to show everyone.

Kyle the Fire Man

Some of the family went up the canyon for a weenie roast a few weeks ago. We built our small fire, and Kyle kept on insisting he wanted to build a fire. We kept insisting, "No we have a fire. No it's too hard for you to do." And behind our backs, he did it anyway. His fire was better than ours!

Krista's Art Show

Krista had a great reception to open her art show, 'As I Am.' It was incredible, and awesome to see all her hard work!!
